The Kitchen

Formal Entryway

The large front foyer with its centered table has ample seating for guests who are waiting for others in their party or while guests are readying themselves.  Below the original oak crown molding one finds hand stenciling. The front foyer may also provide seating for larger groups.

The back foyer is set apart from the front by an original oak pillar.  Here one finds the check-in area where guests may complete necessary forms.  We have brochures available for interesting day trips and maps of the area.  Here one may find information from Wakefield businesses which may be of interest. One also finds a selection of gift items that may be purchased. The back foyer also contains the main floor bathroom and the door up to the Bed and Breakfast rooms.

The recently redecorated eat-in kitchen sports an antique harvest table with red/chrome kitchen chairs.  A large original kitchen cabinet was found stored in the basement and restored for additional storage with an added desk for menu planning.  A gold rotary wall phone is found on the kitchen wall.  The kitchen walls are decorated with kitchen memorabilia and unique collectables.  The decor of the kitchen reminds one of the 1940s and is warm and comfortable.
